Great food and great music was the theme of the First Annual Southeast Michigan Oyster Festival benefit for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society sponsored by Gus O'Connor's in Novi. Unfortunately, a visit from the local fire marshal as the festival doors were about to open resulted in the festival being shut down for several hours. Sadly, the vast majority of the crowd did not return when the fesival finally launched and missed out on some fabulous food and some awesome music.  Laith Al-Saadi opened up the musical festivites, Lady Sunshine and the X-Band put on an outstanding show and had the small-but-mighty crowd diggin' on some sweet R&B, Soul, and Blues. The James Montgomery Blues band then rocked the house with their signiture brand of high energy blues. Without a doubt, a good time was had by all!!
